As numbers and bodies continue to climb in the US, I expect the nation to follow the lead of other similar dictatorships and failed states, such as Iran, Russia, and China, in simply lying about the numbers, while erasing records and discrediting any who say otherwise.

Lying about the numbers is going to be really difficult with our system. At the federal level the SSA would probably just have to stop publishing the Death Master File and I have no idea how they keep local officials from filing death certificates. People’s relatives are going to need those documents.
