I used kiddy fiddling in the post above because I have no interest in getting our host attacked by people who would object to more accurate terms.

just to be clear: having sex with a 17 year-old is not pedophilia, and we need to stop talking about it like it is. In our society, it’s rather gross for an older man to do so, and it’s illegal because we’ve determined that the age of consent is 18, but it’s not “kiddy fiddling” or pedophilia. It’s just against the law for anyone older than I think 19, which is why older boyfriends sometimes find themselves having to deal with statutory rape allegations from angry parents.
