Interesting article about escaping Q anon in Cosmo:

As the article points out, it’s similar as trying to escape religious cults. I have an acquaintance who, after his wife (my best friend) passed away, found a home with the NRA — and this home seems to provide the same support and worldview as the Q-Anon cult. He has a PhD in history and theoretically should know better but he’s an outright racist whose only focus is on protecting gun rights for white people. It’s not that he loves Trump but he hates Democrats. The one topic on which he dissented from the GOP was the tax cut for the rich; his very vocal attacks could have been written by Bernie Sanders.
