That’s actually not far off. Americans are using less fuel than ever, so we’re exporting more than normal, but since supply and demand rules don’t apply in the oil business, our prices are as high as ever. The oil companies know they don’t ever have to lower prices again. We’ll pay whatever they ask.

Ayep. Though we may not be gobbling it up, there are plenty of countries that are.
