The UK went WAY too far in my book. I’m for better mental-health capabilities, but I’d also like to increase education for the public in why these sorts of shootings happen. Help people better spot the warning signs, and sadly, decrease the ability of individuals and parents to challenge orders that they be treated for mental issues. That last will surely be abused at times, but if done right the lives saved should outweigh those ruined.

The average person is not trained and has too little experience to objectively assess other people’s mental condition, so you would end up with ‘wolf’ being cried too often for the system to be effective. Well trained teachers and school psychologists on site would be the best.

That takes money.
