Just stumbled across this article in the NYTimes. Thought I’d post it here for the benefit of Walter L. Newton. I seem to recall him roundly mocking me for describing CBS’ practice of classifying full time employees as “contractors.”

No… I roundly mocked you for claiming you were forced to do anything. You don’t like what an employer does or doesn’t do, you walk away.

I never claimed that CBS was doing anything wrong, or not doing anything wrong. I was simply addressing your entitlement attitude that CBS or anyone owes you something and need to hold you hand and tell you what to do with your life.

So, I will say it again… you were not “FORCED” to work at CBS.
