I know no one is reading and this is an anecdotal story, but I got the dreaded ‘Sir, you need to calm down’ admonition from a policeman who was investigating a burglary at my house and I threatened the perp. I calmed down, and the policeman recovered the stolen items and made a clean bust. Calm is good.
