It was a perfectly reasonable assumption. It was wrong but Islamic groups were already trying to take credit for it and had previously promised similar attacks. You’re sorely mistaken if you think this incident somehow mitigates the threat of Islamic terrorism.

It ‘mitigates’ nothing. The threat of Islamic terror is what it was.

But this sure is a reminder that evil doesn’t mind what your race, color, creed or national origin is, it will find you some work to do regardless.
