Looks a lot like a Colt. This is only significant because they’re high end - expensive - hand guns. $1000+ Really unlikely for someone who is hiding their gun from family. Spend that much people tend to want to show it off. Something is very rotten in Denmark.

It’s one of the original Colt Mustang Pocketlite .380s, from the original ‘83 to ‘96 run, but it’s clearly beat to shit. New ones run about $600 and I don’t think you can get them in blue. If there’s a collectors premium for an older model it’s probably not any more than that in this condition.
