I’d like to know why overbooking flights is legal in the first fucking place. In a country that made any damned sense, this crap wouldn’t even be allowed.

Because we live in a country that believes that corporations should be able to do and say whatever they want and consumers should just shut up and be happy that the companies exist to “serve” them.
