Propaganda can be very effective but don’t underestimate the lack of empathy that many have towards those outside their family or their tribe.

It’s a valid question. Does the conservative cult train its members to be hateful and sociopathic, or does it simply work best on people who are already hateful and sociopathic? The answer is probably both.

I don’t think that’s a surprise to anyone. What surprised us all, I think, and definitely what surprised me, was just how many monsters lurked among us. I had no idea that so many people who seemed outwardly normal were so unbelievably evil. That’s a large reason for my own loss of faith in America as a nation and its people in general.
