A part of me feels like Clinton fell into a trap that the GOP normally does. There was a perception that it was her turn. Most of the time, that’s who the GOP nominates - Romney, McCain, Dole are the most recent examples - and sometimes they do this thing where they try and clear the field of any other legitimate candidates. That also seemed to happen last year with the Democrats - though, the beatings they took in 2010-2014 didn’t leave a deep field.

I hear ya on that. I wish she had gotten a serious challenger but it really all changed when Biden’s son died. But to be honest, she was really the total favorite in 2008 by the party establishment and Obama beat her. And I really hate that people want to make Sanders, an old white dude from a state 95% white the party’s future. It just flies in the direction of what we stand for as a party. Not to mention, I think Sanders has a lot of flaws that his mostly white liberal fans choose to ignore about him that POC are more aware of.
