The Dems should approach voter registration as a year round endeavor, not just in the lead up to primaries and general elections. Even if someone is registered, it’s a good way to check in and let them know they haven’t been forgotten (from what I’ve read/heard on podcasts lately, that seems to be a major complaint).

If/when the rules change they can let voters know and help them get info/docs in order.

Stay engaged in off years, and that might help turnout in mid-terms.

I agree, but never underestimate the evil creativity these assholes employ. If you do one thing to counter, they will look for ways to change it. Democrats have to take no prisoners to restore voting rights and prohibit this bullshit in the future.
