We’ve talked off and on about how this all compares to World War Z (the novel, not the movie),

I forgot the part about how the Russians dealt with it.

But the novel did a great job of showing how we deal with most any crisis: first ignore it, then suppress it, then spread lies to prevent panic, and then wind up inciting even greater panic when the public finds out how much they have been lied to.

We are just getting to that last part…
