Then you aren’t remembering well enough. They used to equally make him out to be an evil mastermind and a doddering old fool. I remember one of the angriest days I had was Ted Rall saying “If there is a hell, Reagan’s in it.” 2nd worse only to the smear cartoon on Pat Tillman. See the Mastermind sketch in SNL. Al Franken used to love to hate on Reagan.

I was in the cloistered environment of military service during the Reagan years so my view may be skewed.

Make no mistake, I’m a Reagan fan. The Reagan years where the best to be in the service. The world was afraid to eff with us back then, Beirut not withstanding.
