Do your job, cover all your bases, and you won’t be held liable. There are still plenty of places that serve alcohol.

Difference is that you don’t stay drunk for years off one binge. If you did, bartenders would be out of business. When the product you sell has a shelf-life measured in decades, the possibility of criminal liability for selling it is a massive disincentive.
