Went on a cruise with The Husband a few years ago,from Ft Lauderdale to the Yucatan Peninsula and Key West. It was a smaller ship, but honestly,I don’t get the appeal. If I’m going to go somewhere I want to SEE the place, not just stop in a port for a bit and get stuck doing tourist trap stuff. The only other part I liked about it was sitting on the little balcony in the middle of the night and watching the stars. I’d never spend the money on one again. Why not just go to a Disney resort or something if you don’t want to plan anything on your own? It’s a bit claustrophobic IMO. I’d rather go somewhere and explore the hell out of the place on my own itinerary. I feel bad for the people involved, I’d guess they’ll get their money back and maybe a bonus.
