True…we know that. But my argument is that other nations will not discriminate between leaders. It is what it is. The damage is done.

It’s also preposterous to imagine that if Russia elected a slightly-more-reasonable leader than Putin in the next few years, anyone in the US would suddenly regard him as someone with the moral authority to criticize US foreign policy.
