Did gmsc do his daily recounting of history?

Anyway, I got to thinking about how much can change in 200 years. For example, 1809 was the year that the first patent (in the US) was awarded to a woman.

Also in 1809 were two notable births of inventive souls, Cyrus Hall McCormick who invented the mechanical reaper, and Louis Braille who improved the system of raised dots for blind people.

So, now this is 2009… and I wonder, what will happen this year that will be remembered in 2209?

Here is an assignment I’ll give to the late night crowd to chew on for a day or two: What will life in the year 2209 be like (in the US, in the world)? And, what in that vision of 2209 will be traceable back to our day?
