Well then, it’s a pretty unfounded statistic. I, for one, don’t know the percentage of atheists who would claim with certainty that god does not exist. Atheism, after all, is merely a lack of belief in god, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it turned out that most atheists are agnostics to boot.

We’re breaking down into a definitional argument (the same one I have had with years with my son). You suggest “Hard” and “Soft” atheists, I include the Softies with us agnostics. Helps us with our membership stats.
