So possibly Brown started to open the drivers side door, Wilson unholstered his weapon, and somehow a shot was fired.

Brown may or may not have assaulted Wilson, running away after the gun shot.

Is this a reasonable interpretation of the events so far?

I would agree with the statement I bolded and hesitate to endorse your first paragraph. There’s very little evidence to support Brown as the aggressor.
