What’s the right response when wingnuts like Rick Perry or Peter Brimelow try to get states to secede? It’s treason. What’s the right response when liberals try to get states to secede? It’s still treason.

Come on, why do you want to force millions of blacks, Hispanics, gays, and liberals — all of whom are, right now, American citizens — to live under the pure fascist dictatorship that would result from a teabagger-led secession? Why would you want to surrender to the people who fought for the Confederacy? Why would you want to allow the wingnuts to have control over the gravesites of Ann Richards and Molly Ivins?

And will you subject every state that gets taken over by wingnuts in the governor’s office and/or the legislature to this abandonment? Because you won’t just lose the South. You’ll lose Maine, Wisconsin, Michigan, every rural-majority state. That’s a hell of a lot of Americans you’re willing to fuck over just because you’re mad at Louis Fucking Gohmert.

For christ fucking sake, liberals, please remember that we’re supposed to be better people than they are.
