Sadly, it feels like it needs to be 5 times bigger just to actually seed through, because Trump has skated away on several dozen scandals that would have sunk almost any other politician, especially any sort of Dem politician. Case in point:

In the Democratic Party, a felony conviction is enough to blow you out of politics forever.

Not so in the GOP. There are four convicted criminals running for high office in the Republican Party. And one child molester received a majority of GOP votes.

That’s because one party is consistently held to standards, and the other gets to do whatever the fuck they want because ‘both sides same thing’. All it takes is a minor example of Dem malfeasance to justify any and all GOP malfeasance in our current environment. #IOKIYAR

It literally seems like any and all Trump sins get forgiven or forgotten literally on the basis of ‘But Her Emails’. That is almost all it takes to let Trump get away with anything short of literal murder, and he could probably get away with that too. Hell, he bragged about that very fact, remember.

That’s why I’m worried about the results of this sort of thing: Trump has literal cultish, messianic devotion to him that Nixon never had. And it’s an extension to the literal cultish, messianic devotion the GOP as a whole has, especially from our own media which repeatedly gets bashed by the GOP and treated like the degradation of all things, and continually responds by scraping and promising to stop treating conservatives so bad.
