okay, I am only following this is fits and snatches

so a photo that appeared in a yearbook that existed in only 40 copies surfaced at a strategic moment to prove that Democrats are the real racists

at least that is what I am getting from the information I have gleaned

It wasn’t done to prove that ZOMG DEMOCRATS ARE THE REAL RACISTS, ti was done to discredit a man who wasn’t wavering on supporting the most progressive bit of pro-choice legislation that could have passed to the governor’s desk in years. I don’t care what the Republicans or right wing assholes with agendas like Erickson say, I care that my state, my state that not even two summers ago had a young woman not much older than me murdered by a racist because she was protesting the CSA flag. I care that my state still has plenty of people who want to venerate Robert E. Lee the same way we ought to be venerating true Virginia heroes like Thomas, Scott, Marshall, and others including Civil Rights heroes.
