It’s been a hell of a snow season, hasn’t it? This heavy, wet snow, falling so late, is just dangerous as hell.

We’ve got a very serious deep persistent slab problem in our snowpack. There’s a very rotten layer of faceted snow at the surface. It’s already killed five guys in the Colorado backcountry this winter.
