re: #42 Dread Pirate Whitebeard

My parents knew they could never afford to send my brother and me to college, so they moved, when we were in grade school, to Champaign-Urbana IL for the state university. My father was injured and became disabled, and was on disability, and my mother worked in an office. The U of I had a fee of about $550 a year then, back in prehistoric times, iirc, and we lived at home. It wasn’t quite the “move away from home and find your adult legs” experience that college is said to be, but it worked.
