He is his own man, and I respect the hell out of him for that. I agree with a large part of what he has to say, and will not piss on his entire works for the little parts I don’t agree with.

Unfortunately there are those I dub “100%’ers”. “You are either with us all the way or not all”, who refuse to countenance any differentiating point of view on any subject. Folks who might otherwise agree with one person’s philosophy, but reject it entirely due to disagreement on one minor subject or another. Animal Farm Ideologues.

Also, gotta give Hitch this too: he was one of the few who said he would undergo waterboarding who actually did— and he changed his mind and wrote admitting that he was wrong and it is torture. That took some nerve.
