That isn’t it. What is true is that conservatives (including David Frum and me) are by nature hostile to ideas that in involve more government. Conservatives react this way because we fear that giving government more power leads to government using that power in abusive and anti-freedom fashion.

And these are the same people who came up with and voted for the Patriotic Act yes?
