Also, Israel has yet to admit that Irgun and Lehi were wrong at Deir Yassin or Al-Dawayima. Likely because Likud is descended from the former. And I can tell you, this is what is going through DB’s and RS’s heads.

The Palestinians get what in return for what they are doing now? A divided people ruled by Hamas and Fatah each in their own enclave? How long have they continued the same tactics and what has it gotten them?

The international community and especially the United States cannot give any support to a regime that uses terror for political purposes. For more than 60 years now terror has been used and failed, yet if things don’t suddenly change for the better after 6 months of peace they abandon it and go right back to terror. It gains them nothing!
