Citizens should not have to justify to the government why they should be allowed to do or own something; Instead it is the government that should have to justify to the citizen why they should not do or own something.

Oh, that’s an easy one - citizens should not own weapons of mass homicide like high capacity/automatic guns because those weapons are made for one thing - killing lots of people.
