My sister-in-law is celiac, so wheat and any other grains containing gluten are out. This restriction includes beer and other malt beverages. There seems to be a debate though on distilled spirits, some say no, others say that the product is so far removed from the original grain as to not be a problem. Do you have an opinion?

As I don’t drink, the answer is no, I have no opinion. There is a similar question regarding the ability to eat oats; some say it can be done, others say no.
