Still more fallout from the Judge Tom Head’s now world-famous comments on civil war, Obama, and UN armored forces:

Yesterday, a nice Republican lady told me Judge Head should be thanked for saying “what many people in Lubbock County believe but don’t have the guts to say.”
We can’t let the GOP get away with tossing Tom under the bus and pretending he is an isolated whack-job whose views do not reflect those of a sizable fraction of the local party. The infamous Lubbock GOP platform doesn’t mention civil war or UN invaders but it is clearly influenced by the same conspiracist world view. The state platform specifically addresses “agenda 21” and other JBS conspiracy claims.
Judge Head seems surprised at the intensity of the response, as though he expected these ideas to be viewed as controversial but not as insane or bizarre. This would be understandable if he spends a lot of time in a bubble where these views in fact are the norm.
