I don’t like the blame Bush stuff for an interesting reason; it gives Republicans in congress a pass. I actually think Bush gets a raw deal, and people overlook the role of congress in stunts like Terri Schiavo.

That’s fair, and there are certainly areas in which I think Bush did well. He was faced with an insane situation, and I try to consider that as I consider his legacy.

I’m just amazed at a presidency that can walk away like Evel Knievel from two shooting wars and an economic plummet like that, and a year later, if you mention that he had anything at all to do with the current situation, you’re a mindless hater.

Let’s just say that if the situations had been reversed, I think we’d be seeing a whole lot of Obama blaming going on, and some of the folks who now defend Bush would be in the forefront of explaining how Obama screwed up everthing.
