I wasn’t a big JFK fan, because I was young and dumb and southern, but even today I sometimes think that his assassination was the event that truly started us down the road to the garbageland we currently inhabit.

I was in the JFK generation, but I wonder if our road didn’t start with J Edgar Hoover, and his suitcase full of issues and nastiness.
