How the fuck do we come back from this? Even if we take 2020, it seems like so many of the avenues to even slow the backslide are closed to us, much less actually try and reverse it. And it feels like the institutional inertia is almost always and forever on the GOP’s side where they get to do every single bit of shit they want to and the political environment lets them because the alternative is to actually let Dems be Dems, and that can never be fucking allowed to happen, apparently.

I think that’s what has me frustrated. That this is gonna be a motherfucker recovering from. This is our new era. We’re imo not going to change this all over night especially because our political culture still needed changes even before Trump came along which gets me at why I get frustrated with Biden and he should know better as Obama’s former VP.
