I get that Engel has established relationships with people in Afghanistan, people who may be killed as a result of being seen as traitors to the Taliban, etc. But he could take his interview and investigation skills and do something useful with that. Like looking at income inequities, or our truly shitty health care system(why yes, my saga with that is still ongoing….fuckers..), our educational system and how it’s been hollowed out and fucked over, how the rich are fucking us all over and then creating “charities” to “help”, etc etc….there’s plenty for an enterprising journalist to cover. Just sayin’…
