I have completely lost the mental faculties required to discern whether that’s intended as satire or not.

Obliquely related: I seem to have a memory of an episode quite a while back wherein a private jet lost compression or SOMETHING, and apparently all aboard were dead from hypoxia but the autopilot kept on autopiloting. F16s were scrambled because terrorism, I guess. I also seem to remember there was a professional golf player on board.
