Quoted where you turned it around. Two points.

1) You admit it was fixed.

2) “One may wonder”. Implying harm is a no-no.


In general, you proved that a programmer had a hell of a time with the legacy systems (hardly a surprise, as anyone whose worked with that kind of thing can tell you), and that he hated having to fix it. Also you proved that ‘one may wonder’ what harm it did to the data.
