Holy shit. I just finally read what the stupid SOPA and PIPA acts would do.

It’d block DNS lookup, but you could still go there by just manually typing in the IP address.

That’s like trying to prevent people from robbing banks by removing their addresses from the phone book.

Yep.
It’s the dumbest legislation I’ve read in a while.
Not too mention completely ineffective against anyone who has a bit of knowledge of the internet.
It only serves to hurt honest people.
