It’s not entirely true that if you refused to take part in the genocide that you would be punished or imprisoned. There are many examples of soldiers and bureaucrats who did say no and requested not to take part. For the most part their requests were granted. Yes it took courage. Yes it took conviction. And unfortunately Yes he killing would still go on with other participants. But you were able to say NO.

I definitely think that’s the first time I’ve heard that. Do you have examples?
