I am reactive against what I call liberal tribalism as well. Like implicitly accepting weird psuedo-medical quakery. Or pretending that third-wave feminists like Andrea Dworkin are really brilliant and deep. Or beating people about the head with white privilege. Or all the viciousness against Bush, like he was some warlock or something. The stole-the-elekshun!11 stuff. The environmentalism-to-the-point-of-madness thing. I am not giving up my car. I plan on buying a car with a corvette engine in it eventually, and I’m not going to be made to feel guilty about it.
