My guess? It’s antisemitic “Christian” haters who want to appropriate the old testament and make it Juden-rein. The Torah is ok for them because it’s the Pentateuch— the first five books of the OT, and therefore essential to Christianity as well.

The Talmud? That can’t be made Judenrein, hence it’s out.
