Apropos of all this, yours truly is hammering out the details - legal & financial - to sell the current Palace of Domestic & Filial Harmony and buy the Southern Palace of Domestic & Filial Harmony.

Selling big-ass Austin house to buy another one, in another county, valued at 1/3rd my current residence. I took one look at the assessments of our place, and saw what the houses by us were selling at, and concluded that a guy like me had no business owning a house that valuable.

When it’s all said and done, my mortgage, property taxes, and insurance should come to approximately 15% of my net monthly salary. A very secure feeling that is, too.
