Plus, you should always tip at a higher percentage at cheaper restaurants because the service is still service and the dollar amounts are lower.
When Iām with a group getting separate checks, I usually double my tip to cover the probability that someone else will either undertip or not tip at all.
(And when I go to restaurants where friends or kids of friends work, I usually tip more than the meal costs!)
