I read that second sentence as “Mitt wouldn’t be the worst thing the Utah GOP could produce but meth.” Which, given our state of politics… eh.

On a more serious note, when was the last time someone held high office in one state, was termed out or retired and then held high office in another state? Doesn’t seem like something that happens much in modern politics.
