In the course of their ~official~ business. We know of the meetings because they were official.

These fucking morons don’t know the difference (or don’t care) that Democrats meeting with Russians as part of their official business is a world apart from the illegal chicanery that the Trump cabal of cronies were involved in.

Trump’s cabal lied about meeting with Russians. They denied meeting with them, lied about the subject of the meetings (or how many). They lied about not being foreign agents (Flynn and Manafort were). Kushner, Junior, Sessions, and others all lied about contacts with Russians. Kushner and Sessions engaged in criminal acts, omissions on SF-86 and perjury, respectively.

Junior was contacting and communicating with Wikileaks, which was known to be connected to Russian intel services.

None of the Trump cabal were doing this as part of an official act. It was all done to manipulate election outcome.

So of course Gohmert is trying to conflate official actions that everyone in DC knows are sanctioned and legit with Trump’s illegal actions. This is all the GOP knows to do.
