Had a brief moment of disorientation. I’m switching back and forth between LGF and the first season of Dr. Who on Amazon. I’m up to episode 31 now (8 episodes, the “Marco Polo” serial, are missing). The current serial features the first encounter with the Sensorites, the group having just finished their harrowing adventure in the 15th century Aztec Empire. Ilona Rodgers, who was just 18 years old at the time, made her television debut in this episode. She is still very much with us, as are two of the original companions, William Russell (Ian Chesterton) and Carole Ann Ford (Susan Foreman). Mr. Russell was 39 at the time and is now 93 years of age, Ms. Ford was 23 then and is now 77.
