Something I would like for people to stop normalizing: That Republicans will, in the end, get their own way. They just might. But people should be angry that they do, not resigned to it and broadcasting to the world that they’re resigned to it.

I think we’re starting to see some cracks in the facade. A couple of Republican Senators have said the vote should be delayed. Now we’re seeing stuff from Senators we didn’t realize were uneasy, like Kennedy. We’ve all been waiting for the dam to break, and maybe this turns into a Harriet Meirs situation where a lot of Republicans buck the president over a bad choice.
