I think that many of the denialists and fatalists are just mathematically illiterate and don’t realize that the exponential progression we are seeing could build into the millions in less than a month.
There is nothing to stop it except a massive shutdown. This will have to be instituted by force thanks to decades of lying lepertarian propaganda about what government can and can’t do.
