Trump’s most reliable federal goons, ICE and BoP, need to think long and hard about what will happen to them if they support an illegal Trump power grab and it fails. A martial law declaration would be useless to them because the military chiefs have made it clear that they want no part of it. That leaves Cheeto with spotty support from local police and, of course, his numerous but cowardly and inept private militia supporters.
In fact, martial law could backfire epically if the chiefs back the incoming legal government and use Trump’s own proclamation to round up or eradicate his goober militia and rogue cops.
